We’re excited to share that The Funeral Photographer will be part of the 14th Annual Underground Cinema Film Awards from Dublin! This two-day, digital festival will be happening on Saturday (5/20) and Sunday (5/21).

We were so grateful that The Funeral Photographer was chosen to be part of the 2023 Wolf Tree Film Festival in scenic Marshall, MI. It’s a unique event where only films that are connected in some way to the Great Lakes are considered: made in a state bordering the Great Lakes, themes or topics related to the region, or are the work of filmmakers who reside in or grew up around the Great Lakes.

The Wolf Tree team hosted a top-notch festival on Saturday, January 21st with a filmmaker dinner, an in-depth Q&A with writer/director/producer Lesley Demetriades, a networking event, followed by a well-attended screening of so many wonderful films.

With 80 films submitted and 10 finalists chosen, we were blown away when The Funeral Photographer won three awards, including Best Actor for our lead Tara Hazel Walsh.

Thanks again to Jennifer, Cathy, and everyone else who worked so hard to put together such a welcoming and professional festival.

We look forward to attending next year to enjoy more of this vibrant, destination town and see more amazing films!

The Funeral Photographer was a semifinalist in the Canada Shorts Film Fest and also won an Award of Excellence. Congrats to our entire team and all of you who continue to support our film!
